01 Flat vs Curve Structure.
Curved designs typically require more materials and intricate construction techniques, leading to higher costs compared to flat designs. The curved structures often provide a more visually appealing and dynamic look, which can justify the additional expense for companies aiming to attract more attention at exhibitions and events. Flat design, while more economical, offer a simpler and more straightforward setup, which can be advantageous for budget-conscious exhbitiors.
02 Booth Overall Height.
Taller booths require more materials and structural reinforcements, which drive up costs. Additionally, the complexity of constructing and safely installing a taller booth demands more labor and specialized equipment, further increasing expenses. Moreover, transportation and setup can became more complicated and costly. Thus, a higher structure generally results in a higher price compared to lower structures, reflecting the additional resources and complexities involved.
03 Type of Flooring (carpet/ underlay/ platform/ grass carpet)
Carpet is the most cost-effective & standard option for exhibition, offering ease of installation and minimal expense.
Underlay is 18mm thick timber plywood normally used in ‘ballroom’ due to product the carpet in the ‘ballroom’ .
Platforms is normally 100mm height will elevate the booth floor and incur higher costs due to the need for additional materials, structural support, and labor -intensive setup. It will give premium look with laminate finishing.
Beside carpet finishing you can have optional finishing including vinyl flooring, laminate, grass carpet & etc. color carpet, & pattern carpet.
04 Materials Used for Booth Framework (metal/timber)
Timber is normally used for a normal stand framework. It is generally cheaper and easier to use, especially on – site during the installation & dismantling. This material is a cost-effective choice for exhibitors.
Metal frameworks are normally used when client products are heavy or, especially, when clients request them due to higher raw material costs and the need for specialized manufacturing and assembly techniques.
05 Finishing on Booth (emulsion paint/ lamination/ spray paint)
Emulsion paint is a common & standard finishing for a cost – effective price.
Lamination has a few different textures to choose from: classic, glossy, a variety of colors, monochromes, concrete, and more. Therefore, can give more premium-looking outcome. It can be used for the counter and wall.
Spray paint is not commonly used in Malaysia because of its pricey. We only use on metal structure/premium counter.
Full wallpaper can be used if you have a custom theme or a very nice poster.
06 Type of Logo Used (sticker logo/ 2D logo/ 3D logo/ lightbox logo)
The sticker logo is the most cost-effective option among all.
The 2D logo is 5mm compress foam cut out with sticker finishing on surface.
The 3D logo is normally 1 inch poly foam cut out with sticker finishing on surface.
The lightbox logo has 4 different types:
- Laser cut with sticker
This logo will be added with a wording laser cut sticker on top of the lightbox.
- Laser cut added with acrylic cut out
Acrylic will be added on top of the laser cut for a 2D effect.
- 3D Box up Logo
It can be steel/ acrylic and each wording is lighted from inside. Normally used for retail, branding purposes, launching gimmicks, or as a backdrop for a photo booth. It is an expensive option.
- Laser cut added acrylic spacer logo
A combination of three-layer components that will give a 3D effect as an outcome result.
07 Size of Poster and Material (tarpaulin/ sticker/ lightbox)
Tarpaulin is the most affordable option, especially for larger sizes, dues to its low production dosts.
Stickers is the most common option we used, are a premium option that gives a premium type of finishing. The cost will be expensive if the size required is large compare to tarpaulin.
Lightbox posters is the most premium option because the color of the poster will be vibrant & attractive. It is the most expensive due to the inclusion of lighting elements, higher-quality materials, more complex installation & fabrication and enhanced visibility.
08 Amount of lighting
The amount of lighting used depends on the exhibition hall lighting. Normally, for an exhibition that is located in a ballroom venue, it requires a high amount of lighting due to the low and dim lighting in the ballroom. The cost of the lighting is usually charged per connection. Booths with comprehensive, sophisticated lighting setups are significantly more expensive compared to booths with minimal lighting. It is because of the use of LED strips in detail, and some exhibitors use them for decoration purposes. The highr the voltage needed for the lighting, the higher the lighting rental cost.
09 Type of AV Used (LED wall/TV)
Tv’s can be rented with a size range of 43 inches to 86 inches for video/presentation used.
The LED wall is a big screen normally used for event. The main purpose is to attract visitors from afar to the booth. Normally, it will be used to increase the ambiene, stage outcome, or attractiveness of the video. It is recommended for exhibitors that have a high budget and an impulsive video to show to the audience. LED walls require a 30amp power point of voltage. There are a few types: transparent LED stream, square-shaped LED stream, or custom-made LED stream (curve-shaped). It also has a grade from lower to highest for LED stream quality.
10 Type of Furniture
The cost depends on the material and design of the furniture. There will be different costs for designer furniture and common-type furniture, especially furniture made of plastic material. The cheapest furniture for rental is the common type of furniture, like plastic chairs. The quality of the furniture will also increase the cost of the charge. For furniture like sofas, glass tables, heavy furniture, or big furniture, it usually will be expensive. Sometimes it also depends on the specific theme for the exhibition stand design, such as a nature theme that requires wood furniture.
